New Moon Blues is putting on its last multi-sensory underground charitable community music and arts experience for two thousand and eleven. We've decided to end the year on a high with a a massive show for October. Its going to be an amazing night, paying tribute to all the musicians, artists, volunteers, and friends that we have made along this wonderful journey. This is the final chapter in our narrative for 2011, so please come down and make it a special night for everyone.

This month we're celebrating the ancient Indian light festival, Diwali. Diwali celebrates the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness. It is an important festival for Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism religions, but the celebration of light is also universal. We strive to live our lives in light, not darkness. When we get together as a community, each of our internal lights shine brighter, creating and fostering talent, good causes and empowerment, fighting the darkness of our often bleak, dimming world. We're attempting to put our own spin on the Diwali festival, making it reflect our own personal ideologies.

Music kicks off at 7 this month, so get in early and enjoy 5 live acts.

arbori:

arbori: is a nostalgic and ethereal indie-folk collective from Sydney. Noted for their melodic sundry and allure arbori: and their gasp worthy lineup of 12 musicians.

“hairs stand on end as the audiences’ ears and minds flood with the warm inclusive blanket of sound that is arbori:...their soulful, operatic folk ballads...were capable of seducing the audience both sonically and lyrically.” - CJ Shaw, Shut the Folk Up

The keen success of debut single 'Biology Of Memories' Oct 2010, and their EP film project ‘Polar Bear Swim’ Feb 2011, arbori: are steadily gaining momentum and reputation as one of Sydney’s most engaging and emotive new bands.
